Becky Ngan (Y11) was part of the Wellington team that won an international title at the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) All-Star Nationals, held in Dallas, Texas.

Big Air Cheer was the only New Zealand team to compete there this year, and the second team ever to win a division.

The team arrived in Dallas on February 24 for the competition on February 28 - March 1, and arrived back in New Zealand on March 9.

All Star Nationals is the holy grail of cheer, hosting more than 25,000 athletes, 30,000 spectators, 1400 teams from eight countries.

The Big Air team was aged between 13 and 18, with 23 members, a combination of athletes from Big Air's Tawa and Owhiro Bay gyms.

They had been training and fundraising for six months after an internal trial.
