Marsden teams have delivered an exceptional set of results to close out the Summer Sport competition, with multiple titles, record-breaking performances, and podium finishes highlighting a week of sporting excellence across all levels.
Leading the way, the Junior Touch team secured the Division 1 championship with a convincing 4–2 victory, demonstrating composure and skill to finish their season on top.
At Regional Athletics, Year 9 athlete Eden produced one of the standout performances of the week, breaking a long-standing record in the Junior Girls Long Jump with an impressive leap of 5.33m. She also claimed second place in the Junior 200m, capping off a remarkable meet. Her achievements have been further recognised with selection for the North Island team. Adding to Marsden’s success on the track, Isla (Year 10) secured second place in the Intermediate 800m. The Senior Girls Relay team also delivered a strong performance, earning a well-deserved second-place finish in a competitive event.

Marsden’s Junior Girls Floorball team continued their upward trajectory, finishing second in Junior Girls Division 1 after a determined performance in their final. Their result reflects significant progress and sets them up well for the upcoming National Championships.
Volleyball success came through the Senior B team, who were crowned Senior Division 2 champions following a dominant performance to secure the title.

In Water Polo, the Senior Girls team also claimed a runner-up finish, showcasing resilience and high-level performance throughout their campaign. The team has now progressed to the North Island Championships, where they will test themselves against the best across the North Island.

Rounding out the week, the Junior Girls Futsal team completed a flawless season, finishing unbeaten. Their consistency and winning form position them strongly as they look ahead to the Junior Regional Tournament in Term 4.

With championship titles, record-breaking achievements, representative honours, and a series of top finishes, the week reflects the depth of talent and commitment within Marsden sport. These results underscore a culture of excellence and continued success across all codes and age groups.
