Student Success at National Cross Country Championships

Marsden is proud of the achievements of three of our athletes who represented the school at the National Cross Country Championships held in Whangārei on 14-15 June.

Congratulations to Isla, Phoebe, and Jess, who all competed with determination and skill against the best young runners from across New Zealand.

A special mention goes to Isla, who achieved an impressive 9th place in the Year 9 category, finishing ahead of most in a competitive field of 69 runners.

Together, Isla, Phoebe, and Jess formed the Marsden team, which placed an excellent 5th overall - a remarkable accomplishment at a national level.

In addition to the individual races, Phoebe also represented the Wellington regional team in the relays, where she contributed to winning a silver medal.

We are incredibly proud of these students for their dedication, resilience, and school spirit. Their hard work and passion for running have truly shone through on the national stage.

Well done, Isla, Phoebe, and Jess!
