Year 7 student Eden recently competed in the 3pTag All Nations Tournament in Brisbane, Australia, as part of the New Zealand Barbarians U12 Girls team. The tournament, held from 15–17 November, features a non-contact version of Rugby League similar to Ripper Rugby but with different rules.

Eden’s team delivered an impressive performance, going undefeated in pool play with victories over Japan, Greece, Cook Islands, Spain, and Indigenous teams. They continued their winning streak in the quarter-final against Papua New Guinea and the semi-final against the USA. The final was a challenging match against a physical Australian team, but the NZ Barbarians dug deep to secure the championship title.

Eden contributed significantly to her team’s success, finishing as the top try scorer and receiving the Top Attacker award. This is an outstanding achievement, and we are proud of Eden’s efforts and accomplishments.
