Clara (Year 6) has achieved a fantastic result in tennis, winning the consolation final at the Regional Primary Schools Tennis Tournament in Palmerston North.

After claiming the Plate final at the Wellington/Kapi Mana primary schools tournament in September, Clara was selected to compete at the regional level. The day presented challenges, including an ankle injury during the warm-up and a tough first match, which placed her in the consolation round. However, Clara showed resilience and determination, winning her next three matches to secure the consolation final victory.

Clara reflected on the importance of maintaining a positive mindset and expressed her gratitude to her coach Troy Leamy, her Club Johnsonville, supporters, team, and opponents. Congratulations, Clara, on your outstanding effort!
