Badminton Junior 2

Anand Harsh (Manager)

The Junior 2 team has started strong with two wins in the first two weeks of the season.

They have started coaching and adjusting well with each other's playing style. Andi (the coach) has been working well with the girls to improve on their strengths and has been providing them with valuable suggestions.

The team members are Aarushi, Vrusha, Jovita, Sonia and Beth. We wish them success for the season. They are being coached by Andi Suriyadi and managed by Anand Harsh.

Badminton Senior 3

Kate Coles (Manager)

This week the team played at Marsden against Wellington Girls 7. They lost 5-1 but demonstrated lovely sportsmanship and supported each other with lots of encouragement. There was excellent playing from Marama making her opponent run around the court and both double pairs communicated well.

The team are looking forward to practicing and improving over the season. Thanks to all the teachers who supervise at the gym after school.

Hockey 2nd XI

Beth McLanahan (Player)

On Thursday night the Marsden Hockey 2nd XI played Sacred Heart and we won 2-1. We played well together and always supported each other as shown by our two goal scorers, Coco and Eva. Throughout the game, we developed as a team and our passing was great. It felt like our team was very united, we were cheering for each other and there was always someone helping you out. Everyone did their best despite the rain and the cold! A shout out to the people whose first game this was, no one would have been able to tell as everyone played fantastically. I’m really looking forward to what we’ll achieve in the season ahead of us! Thanks to Coco and Ciara from First XI for helping us out!

Netball Snr A

Macy Mahoney-Studd (Player)

Last Thursday Senior A netball had the CSW Regional tournament. Senior A was in the A grade and played some pretty tough competition. We didn’t have any blow out games and most games were within a point or two. We played 6 games so there were some sore feet at the end of the day! We ended up coming 10th out 24 teams so was a good result as everyone got lots of playing time. Thanks to Efi and Karen who gave up their work day to coach us.

Basketball Tui

Aaron Columbus (Manager)

Marsden Tui are a combined Year 7 and 8 basketball team. They played their second game of the season, which was against the Evan's Bay Intermediate team who had some very talented players.

Our girls played well and managed to push them to a close scoreline of 34-30. The Tui players were tenacious, energetic and positive in their play and support of one another. The girls are excited for the season ahead and making further progress in their basketball development. They represented Marsden well on the court. Well done Masrden Tui!
